So it is Our Fault!

William Hague the British Foreign Secretary, has apparently stated that there is only one growth strategy {we must} work harder… we must rescue the work ethic. The Communities Secretary Eric Pickles agrees and in an interview with Andrew Neil he agreed {we} all need to work harder.

I now understand. It has nothing to do with government cuts, excessive spending by HMG, huge bonuses given to big bosses who successfully downsize their businesses, tax cuts for the rich benefits cuts for the poor, Banks that we have had to bail out, etc.

It is us {presumably lazy} employers and employees who already have to work 50 or 60 hours per week or more.

So what is next, a tax on sleep to ensure we maximise working hours or just discourage taxpayers from taking days off for holidays?

P.S.

This only applies to full time workers and not those who have a Whitsun break between 24 May 2012 and 11 June 2012, a Summer break between 17 July 2012 and 3 September 2012, a Conference break between 18 September 2012 and 15 October 2012, an Autumn break between 13 November 2012 and 19 November 2012 and a Christmas break between 20 December 2012 and 7 January 2013 ……………………
